My Discus go nuts over the frozen bloodworms that I have been feeding, but they are not as enthusiastic about the brine shrimp (also frozen) or the TetraBits I have been trying to get them to eat. The place where I bought them from fed them exclusively bloodworms and I assume this is the start of the problem.

Is there an easy way to get them to eat more of a variety of food?

Don't feed them bloodworms until they eat other foods for you. Don't worry, they won't starve themselves to death. They will eat the other foods first.

The other way is to mix blood worms with your new food and freeze. cut into small pieces and feed. Reduce the amount of blood worm daily. Don't deny them with blood worms by starving them. You can prusuade then to eat anything by introducing the new food slowly. HTH

Good advice; Same here, I have a couple of disucs that turn up their noses at anything but bloodworms; my fault.
So by mixing bloodworm with beedheart and even some flake food, I got them to accept the new food.
However, when I treat them to bloodworms, there is a smile on their lips.
