View Full Version : Beefheart/Shrimp
I've often wondered what nutritional advantages beefheart offers over peeled fresh shrimp and why its not used exclusively as a protein source in some recipes. I can understand breeders using beefheart for cost reasons but often wonder why the guy with just a few fish would even want to bother with it given the mess it creates.

Its cheap protein. I wouldn't bother if I had only a couple fish.

I wouldn't either.. Theres plenty of good foods out there...Beef heart is just economical if you have lots of tanks... Definetly not a necessity though.
