Mold in python hose?

Last night I noticed some dark moldy stuff growing in my python hose. Is this normal? Is it harmful to the fish, since I use it to fill the water storage container?

How often do you clean your hoses? What method do you use?

Hi Nick,
it happens :) when I see it...I just soak the python in a 5 gal pail with a little bleach. Overnight is alls it takes. Then
rinse real well.

I do the same thing as Brew then connect the python to a garden hose and flush good...
