Is it bad for the fish if you touch them? My fish dont mind it...they come up to me all the time when im cleaning the tank to see whats going on...they dont seem to mind being touched, but I dont know if its bad for them.

Not at all. I love it when mine eat out of my hand. Sounds like you are treating them well!

It's fine as long as you do not touch them inappropriately ;D

That is what I love about discus. What other kind of fish would be as calm and let you pet them ?

*LOL* Paul.

As long as your hands are wet, it won't hurt them, but from my experience as a fisherman, you should never pick up a fish when your hands are dry. If you were to catch them in a net, then pick them up with a dry hand for example. The protective body slime will stick to your dry hand, and when the fish is put back in the water, it will be open to bacterial infection until the slime is replaced. I've seen a few Salmon in the rivers swimming with white fungus on their sides in the shape of a human hand (an angler who released them).
