Rod Lewis is growing out some I think, maybe he can take A pic for us.

Although I imagine you'd would'nt even see any resemblance to an rsg that snowflake gene is crazy dominant like PB, or so I've been told

They look pretty nice and are about 1.5 inches mouth to tail.

I was curious how they are going to look as adults.

I'm also looking to move some adults due lack of tank space.

I set up a mini hatchery for 7 pairs and I'm limited right now for grow out space. Three of the 7 pairs have fry and I'm juggling fish from tank to tank.

Lots of work and I needed to bring in more babies to grow out.

I should have my head examined, it's a full time job.

I have 12 of the RSGxflakes due to arrive today. Did you get the white ones, the darker ones or a combination of both?

I know what you mean about moving fish around to make room. I should have my head examined ordering more discus, but I just couldn't pass these guys up. ;D

Hi Carol,

I got the combo package a little of this and a little of that.


They look very nice, with nice round shapes. One of my guys has a damaged dorsal but should grow out fine.

We should take notes on our progress with them and keep in contact. Who knows, I might have all females and you could have all the males.


With the darker ones I'm assuming the dark bar that goes through the eyes will be permanent. They are all very nice and the price was right.!!!!!!!

Here's a picture for you John. . . . they've been out of the bag for a couple of hours. I have one or two with eyebars the rest look like flakes. I have 12 also. You're going to have to get a camera so I can see how the darker ones turn out . . .

heya, i gots some rsg flake fry from cary too! count me in, just in case i get all one sex ;D
i only got five of that type. looks like 4 have eye bars and one does not...
does that mean i will get 4 rsg looking ones and one snow looking one?

I got my group yesterday and it looks like only 8 have the bar through the eyes and 2 don't ;D This pic was taken right out of the bag...... I tried the dump method this time :o

i do the lazy feeding thing, i feed a ton of cbw at a time so they have a constant supply, then i just supplement with other frozen stuff. so this way the water stays clean b/c the worms are live and they always have something to peck at. oh yeah, i also do about 90% wcs every day on all babies. i figure they will grow faster with clean water and a ton of food.
i haven't added anything to raise my tds as i see no lag in growing. it's at about 59-60 always, no problems yet. i thougt i should go out and buy some RO right to raise it but i havn't yet. maybe some time.

Yes, that's a Sponge Bob party hat in the back ground. We had a big party for my youngest grandchild who just turned two. It's nearly midnight and all the grandkids are asleep in the livingroom. I'll clean the kitchen tomorrow, lol.
