I just happen to have the information at hand. actually I have it typed in large bold red letters at the top of my Maintance program;
NOTE::::- IMPORTANT - FOR DISUS SPERM TO SURVIVE, THE WATER TEMP SHOULD BE - 80 - 82 F.
THE UPPER LIMIT IS 30 C.; SPERM DIES AT TO WARM A TEMPERATURE.
I believe I got this information from either Jack Wattley or Dr. Eduard Schmidt-Focke . an article

This raises an interesting question. We know that human testes hang down in a scrotum to keep a bit cooler than core body temp. :antlers: :bounce: :bounce: -but the discus has no such baggage. If the male discus is kept at a higher temperature will he have non-viable sperm until maintained for a while at more suitable breeding temperature?
Any experiences to recount?
