Hi older brew and fellow experts, how are things!!!?
Could you please help on this one...
I've noticed a new problem with one of my snakeskins.

It started a week ago with "spider-web"-like threads appearing on one fin of my smaller, very much bullied, SS. To the eye it seems as if he'd caught a tiny bit of spider-web on his fin.
The "web" has slowly condensed into one area, with almost the exact appearance of brushing a common household web into a flattened ball.

It doesn't seem to bother him. so the hard bit is that it just won't go away.

I'd prefer to leave him where he is, and avoid a qt fungus treatment. Is there any other option for a safe total-tank treatment? Lower temp, salt etc?

Thanks!

PS. It's still BB Tank. Gets daily 20% w/c. Sides are cleaned once a week... I wipe its bum about once every 3 weeks. I'm still using a tiny bit of Prime. The settled pH of our water is 7.10

HI,
If its fungus , then salt can help at 1/2 to 1 tablespoon/gallon. (non iodized salt)

If it becomes bacterial, then furan 2 might help.

Instead of the above, melafix plus 5 tblsp/10 gal noniodized salt may help. 50% wc/day .
add back melafix to replacement water only. (don't redose entire tank)
