The Discus BUG...Inserts itself into the users harddrive, re-writting all common sense files, and leaving a repetitive line command
line 1 ...need discus
line 2 Buy discus
line 3...goto line 1
Brew, about your Discus virus, how’re you lucky enough to only catch that one!? I keep getting infected by this one:
line 1... INPUT "ENTER ADDITIONAL DISCUS DESIRED: "; LOTS$
line 2… IF LOTS$ > 0 GOTO 4
line 3... GOTO 1
line 4… WIFE_STARES_YOU_DOWN = 1; GOTO1
line 5… ELSE
line 6 .. ATTEMPT $FLOODBUFFER; LOAD "BUY DISCUS NOW",8,1
To date, it only effects those whose wives think that a $10 Commodore-64 will "do the same job" as the new $1500 Pentium we "require". But be on the look out!
PS. If she won't let you upgrade to a 5 1/4" floppy drive either, then substitute ",1,1" for ",8,1" to try and load new Discus from the built-in tape drive.
