There are a few of you here who knew of my situation. That is on March 4th I got let go from my job. Well I have not worked since March 14th and today May 14th I accepeted a job with an outstanding company based out of Iowa. I don't have to move and have a shorter drive to work.
I am so excited right now. So this has been a truly great day and the last two months have given me some much needed time to get a grip on my life and where I want it to go.

Brian:
I remember that you were pretty bummed out when you lost your job. Being out of work for 2 months was probably tough, but as you said, it was also a good time to reflect on your life.
Congratulations, and all the best in you new job! :)

Brian - Congrats on the new job. Glad you don't have to move. The company I work for is also based out of Iowa - but since I took a promotion last fall I have 1 year to move to Iowa - so this fall I will be relocating from Indiana to Iowa. Trust me I am not looking forward to moving - I havn't figured out yet how I am going to move all the fish ! Oh well I have all summer to figure it out.

Once again - good luck in your new job !

Thanks everyone for the thoughts. You know it wasn't really that tough. I guess I got off lucky. Got a good severance package and never had to tap into my savings or other assets. Never got terribly worried about anything. This all had to be a sign from god that I would survive and get through it.
The people I am now working for have been really great. I am excited and eager to start this new opportunity. They have put a great deal of responsibility on me already.

Scotz;

When you've settled in, plan to drive up to the Twin Cities for our next Midwest Discus Club meeting.
