LIVE BRINESHRIMP

Okay I went and bought some live brineshrimp on Tues. I bought them feed some to my Discus then put the rest in a little container with a ir stone and by Thur afternoon they were all dead? how can I keep them alive longer or did I do something wrong????

I have kept them for days in the refridgerator, in the plastic bag they were in from the store. :)

You might have had the air turned up too high. After a certain size, Brine Shrimps don't seem to like too much turbidity (is that even a word? :-\) in the water. If your air stone was making them swirl around in a small container and they were hitting the sides of the container, and themselves, that may have caused their demise.

Hi Tony,

I have been able to keep brine shrimp alive for at least 5 days with just an airstone and the brine shrimp in a plastic container with not problems. It is possible you got an older batch of brine shrimp to start with.
