ok every time i go to petco to buy flakes or supplies, i HAVE to leave with something alive. since pretty much all of their discus are crap i never get those. 2 months ago it was two parakeets, last month 2 hamsters, and this months is this little cutie!!
anyone got a name for this little bugger??

he loves mountain minnows and cbws!! here is his new home, A LOT bigger than his last one at mean old petco >:(

oh and btw, he is a soft shelled turtle ;D

Kim, if you want a cool set up put about 2 inches of play sand in the bottom of the tank, he'll burrow down in it with just his head sticking up. Only put about 4 inches of water in the tank so he can reach the surface with his snorkel. Then dump in some minnows or culls and watch him hunt.

hmm hamsters are at cousins ;)
birds are now my moms ;)
turtle...i have him in a bb for easier cleaning, boy he is already a good hunter!!

i second the sand, i know the name of it i just can't remember what it's called....

silica??? anyways, i have sand from an african tank i had. i just don't like using sand very much, too much maitenence. maybe in a while i will go that way but for right now i'm happy with the setup. thanks for the idea tho!
