:bounce2: :bounce2: Right for what? What is it you are trying to do. Differs with breeding, raising, keeping/ Do you have a TDS meter or Conductivity meter? One needs to know what medium of softness/hardness your application requires. I'm sure Randall can help you & other experienced keepers can guide you better that I, were there no instructions with your Kent product? just wondering, Dottie ;D

korbi_doc's right.

Are you using R/O water? Or is your tap water just very soft and mineralless?

I use R/O Right because my water comes out of the tap extremely soft. I have a TDS meter that I use to make sure my water is constant.

My tap water reads 40 on my TDS meter. But I like to keep my tank at 210. I add R/O Right to my w/c water till it reads 210, then add it to my tank. This way the tank stays at 210ppm.

After I've completed my water change I add a little Kent PH Stable to my tank till the TDS reads about 250, this keeps my PH pretty stable.

Hope this helps.
