Hi Folks
Here are some photos of the prize I won, generously donated by Rod Lewis.

Rod took great care packing the fish and air freighted them to me. They were in the box for about 12 hours and came out really well. They've settled down beautifully and have even produced a batch of eggs after being here for only 10 days!

Thanks Rod! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And thanks Simply! :drummer:  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I am still amazed at how this could happen.

Regards
Rod

This male turq and female PB have laid eggs. Must like the climate down here - a bit cooler than Brisbane LOL.

I really like the colour in the red turquoise. The pigeon bloods have a lot of red too - even the eggs!

Here's a bit of interaction between the female and one of the other turqs.

I was looking around for a nice pigeon to pair with one of my males. What luck!

Hi Rod
Well, I didn't actually see them laying - they kinda caught me by surprise. Because you told me there was a female pigeon I assumed that was her looking after the eggs but maybe the big turq is a female? Any ideas on that one?

i think you need to put a chair in front of that tank and sit there till you actually see eggs coming out of one of the fish....so that you can report back to us....who is the one....lol.
maybe you now have a rt one and....a pigeon female now.?
remember..the one that lays the eggs is the female. lol.

One thing, April, they were "the reddest eggs I ever seen".

Could be a clue LOL ;D ;D ;D

Rod

BTW they've gone to egg-fungus heaven now so maybe the mysterious male has a thing or two to learn. ::)
