Hi guys how are you doing all…
Today in a pet shop some one told me that Vinegar
Will reduce the Ph in the tank …. Is this true won't it harm the Discus in any way …. And if that’s right how much should be added per gallon
Thanks for you

Any acid can lower the pH. Vinegar and lemon juice and muriatic acid are all acids. Some are stronger than others. With moderately hard water the pH may bounce back up when initially lowered by acid.

Vinegar and lemon juice are foods that will encourage the growth of bacteria in your tank.

I used a tsp. to help bring metro to solution had no effect on ph. Willie posted this somewhere. It worked fine. Carol
is correct so just use a small amt.

Get bottled water for the first day ;) and then your tap used for water changes will be fine. Just like with the adult pair you just received.

Any acid will lower the pH. Food based acids may encourage bacteria blooms
