A small explanation. This fish is F2 from F1 parents- Bro and sister who originated from a Marl Red male and a Royal Blue female. The parents are both Orange pigeons with some whitish swirl and pearl pattern. This fish is almost a solid white and the eye is turning red. Frank- What do you think? 8)

Frank: It's a rare breed. a Phenotype from two dose of recessive genes from both parents. It's rare to find them from PB strain. Usually comes from the Browns. Most likely the Albino recessive non-expressity came from the Royal Blue. Keep breeding the pair. You're most likely find a few from the next brood. she has nice round body unlike the football snow white. A new mutation should be kept. I always get excited when something turn up like this from my fish. Have you seen a Pearl scale white diamond?
Jimmy.

Looks great Frank,

So was that the only one in the batch or others too?

Agree - the genetic side of it is fascinating.

Rod

Well, Henry D bought twenty as small fish- 1 inch, and I have not seen them since, but he never told me of any unusual. Jean Bought the rest, and hers are not the same. Frank 8)

Hi Frank:
No pigeon pepper at all and no eyebar at all. Is the body pure white - any color other than on the fins?

Hmmm...most of the fish are redish (orangish) with white spotting. There is some pepper to them. There is however 2 very interesting fish in the group. One of them is inverted. White body based with red spots. I am waiting for the rest of that pattern to develop to see what it looks like. They are only just starting to show some patterns. The other interesting fish has no pepper what so ever. It looks like a light gray based with some white spots. Does not look like a pigeon base at all. I will take some picture once my camera is returned to me.

They also seem to at night go all white with no spots and no pepper what so ever. It is quite interesting to see.

No Carol- no other color. But I am seeing a slight white pearl pattern developing- though very very slight. Here is another picture of the same fish, along with a Royal Blue sibling. Frank 8)
