This is the runt. His colour is also not as bright as the others. His shape is quite poor as well.

No, these are not from Cary. I got them from a local breeder in Oakville, Ontario. The parents were from a friend of his and they were breeding constantly for him. He had about 5 tanks full of different offspring from the parents. They were 3 months old when I got them in March. They were very nervous for about 7-8 weeks but they have now settled in and are getting very friendly. This is my first experience with Discus and so far so good. :)

Yes, the runt is much smaller than its sibblings. He eats very well but just has not kept up in size with the rest. All 4 were about the same size at 3 months when I got them. I am going to be patient with him and see what happens.
