Your suggestion plz……

Hi all my dear friends….
Today I talked to a breeder he's got top quality discus…. But I am not sure what to buy…. I need your help ….. the 4" is double price than 3" (same strain) …. What do you suggest me to buy …. Will the 3" ones take long to be 4" …. I hope you can reply to me today so I can call him and tell him what I want …….

Personally I would buy the 4 inch ones. Generally you can tell quality and color pattern much better at that size. Some 3 inch discus will never grow to 4 inches. . .

If you do not feel your discus skills are advanced enough to risk the extra money then get the smaller ones to practice on.

Go with the ones you feel most comfortable with ;D

Memories.............I bought 5 - 2.5-3" discus 2 years ago and only one grew above 4". But I still love them......if you can afford it ......ge the 4".

I would try the smaller ones you can buy more that way and have more of a chance at getting two that will mate.Goodluck.

I like the small route better.... but only if you plan to pound them with food and water changes. You can buy twice as many fish that way and weed some out as they grow so you end up with the best.
But, i would only do that if you feel comfortable with raising small fish.....
