is it safe ???

I want to put a floculant in my tank as ive dug the substrate up to get to some algae and other stuff out of it however the water column has become cloudy with fine particles of substrate in it is it safe to add a commercialy avail floculant to get these particles to stick together and clear the water .. will it affect the discus .. this stuff is good and it will clear the water in less than an hour but I want to check first to see if anyone else has used such a product before I put it in

Be careful not to overdose and you'll be fine. I've been using one in my tank pretty heavily for the past few days and everyone's fine, including my tempermental shrimp.
