I was in Lowe's yesterday and saw a Premier brand 5-stage under sink R.O. unit. Does anyone have experience with this brand good or bad?

Thanks

what did it cost?? depending on the price, you might be able to find cheaper on the net, or get the parts and put one together yourself for cheaper....it's not that hard to build if you're a little "handy",,,

Check in the Water section here. RandalB is the mod and he also builds them for very reasonable prices. ;)

It run just barely under $200. I didn't think itwas so bad for a 5 stage but I could be wrong.

You might want how many gallons per day the Lowe's models put out. Models at Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears, and the like generally put out minimal gallons per day. I agree with Jeff and check the water section here, you will be suprised at the difference in output for the same price.

More importantly how many gallons per day does it make?

Generally the undersink drinking water RO's do not produce enough water per day unless you only need RO water for one small discus tank.

Check out RandalB.

Besides getting a good Price he also provides you with the nessesary knowhow of the unit and also can help you to determine what you need.

Hi Carl,

I agree check with Randal before buying anything from Lowes. In my experience you'll get significantly better quality materials at close to half the price of Lowes. On top of it all he always there by e-mail if you have a quick question or two (or three or four).

Pat

P.S. I might have a few 2-3" babies if you want to stop by in August and see.

I use this filter for drinking water. Its fine for that purpose but the output is way too low for aquarium use.
