Water change after spawn?

Hello all,

I am new to simply discus! Want to say hi to eveyeone.

One newbie question, Does eveyeone do water change after a pair spawn?
If so, how often and what amount of water change?

Congratulations on your spawn. Yes I continue to do daily water changes of about 25% or so while they are on the cone

I clean the bottom (no more than 25%) and add back a little water at a time. I do this in case there is any slight differences in the aged water. Overall I slowly drop the water until the fry attach. Then I bring the water to an inch below the rim of the tank. Ive had fry that would not seek out the parents because they were attracted to the dark molding at the top of the tank. HTH Rich
