I have a 20 long that is driving me crazy! There are a lot of rocks and some aponogentons (sp?) and moderate light. There is TO MUCH algea! It grows back in two weeks after I clean the rocks.

Here is a link to see it
http://www.geocities.com/kribensis2003/algeapicture.html

First, I need to ID the type of algea. (its green with maybe a blue tinge)
Then I need to find out what kind of shrimp eat it.(Amano, ghost, ect.)

Can you all help me out here?

First off go here... http://aquabotanicwetthumb.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=4006090712&f=8796060812&m=3256098022

Second, from what I saw in the pic, and what you've said... Sounds like blue green algae. Its pretty easily treated with erythromyacin. Problem is your tank's nutrients are out of balance, you need to read up on fertilization and get things back in check. Go to www.thekrib.com and read the articles in the plant section on PMDD. Then get the supplies to do it; They're VERY CHEAP. The only thing PMDD lacks, is by design, and thats PO4, can be obtained cheaply in the form of fleet enema (yep, at the drug store). Keep PO4 below .2ppm and things should be good.

as above you have an imbalance in your tank water ... you need to establish what is causing it prob high nitrates .. what plants have you got in there.... how many hours of light do you have .. how much light in watts per gallon .. what are your tank readings amm nitrite nitrate phosphate P H ... do you use a liquid fert... do you inject CO2 if so at what rate
sorry for asking so many questions but you need to look at all these perameters if you have them in order to find out what the problem is in addition to the link above ...

take a look here http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/articles.htm
this is a very good site also which may help you but as above it may be better if one of the Mods can post this in the Biotope section you will get more help there
