Hi
I read a posts on hormone use and answered it and
no one including myself stated where the color hormone come from.
So here it is.
Red hormone comes from the female hormone, blue hormone is from testosterone of the male. This can lead to the the fish too liver and kidney damage when used in high dosages. It can also make the fish sterile.
They been using this in competitions, only small doses.
Also some breeders will turn blue into red fish by this method only to have the Discus turn back to blue on the new owner if it lives that long.
