Hi, someone asked about the ocean green fry, they're doing good, growing. The pair spawned again yesterday, the eggs are due to hatch Tues eve... we'll see. Here are a few pics of the babies....

Beautiful fish! When did you remove gr. fry from parents? What are you feeding them...do you use blkworms? Also, that group shot w/ the different types...is that the batch you showed pictures of from when they were small? What were the parents of those?

Hi J.T. I took them from the parents last Wednesday because the female was doing the "I want to spawn" shake... I'm feeding them bbs MANY times a day with lots of water changes and... yes the fish in the "group" pic are the fry, JimmyL gave these fry to me to give me experience at raising them. The father was a blue diamond.

Nice Ocean Greens. I have a pair of young ones and they are becoming some of my favorite. Hopefully I have a male and female and they do as well as yours.

Barb: Nice babies!!I can see you in a euphoric mood. A new Grandma meeting her first new Grandson. Exciting! Isn't it.? Enjoy this precious moment. Remember the first day of free swimiming, sleepless nights, worrying and constantly questioning yourself. There will be more to come. Congrat.

She's a nice round body. Mine start shaking fins to her mom already. Bad boy!.
This is her brother from the same brood. Got black eyes due to worms. Pic was taken while being dewormed and eating like a horse now.

You were up till 3:30 so that you can take some pic.? :spank: Did you figure out what went wrong last time?. I think the problems was the parents did not have enough slime for them to attach. This time should be fine. I prefer no feeding and no W/C until hatching but keep an eye on the Ph. The trick to avoid slime tangle up the wrigglers is to keep an Aquclear running until they become free swimmers. Turn it off before attachment. HTH

So that's why the black eyes!? I have a group that I bought a little over a month ago. Some of them have the same look to their eyes that yours do and I was wondering why. Is that something that is a cause for concern in terms of breeding?

Babies are growing...... made it through the power outage.
They love the pothos roots.

The pair has fry, just attaching again, quite a few more this time.

I got one. The male is hiding behind the female with fry as well. They really don't like this >:(
They have saved more fry this time, and are quite a bit darker.
