Do i need air?

Hello there!

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a airstone in my 300 litres aquarium.. i have no co2 injection, and about 4 plants.

What benefits would an airstone give me ?

Airstone would benefit your tank by adding oxygen to the water to be consumed by your fish. However, the down side is that plants require C02 during the day which will be dissapated by the surface agitation from the airstones.

So, given the above 'Do i need air?' will depend on if your fish are near the top gasping for air. If not, then you do not need air. ;)
