My planes are to get another 125 to replace my cracked one. I will keep my four Red bellies in it and then use my 55 for a few Discus. I would like to put the 55 ontop of the 125 which would leave a space of 2 foot wide by 18" deep by 2 foot high space. Would this be adequate size for a breeder tank.
Also would it be all right when I do water changes to take out the water I needed to do the water chage in the 55 tank out of the 125. Then add clean aged water back to the 55. The only reason I ask is because the Red Bellies are not as tempermental as Discus about water. So if I could recycle the Discus water through a canister filter it would be that much easer.
