Hi all, I just wanted to share a few pics of my 6" Green Diamond Male. I got this fish Chad at Discus Obsession. He is a real great guy and a good friend. I really enjoy all his fish aswell as the fish that I have bought from him. I have had him for about 8-9 months now.

Hope you like.

Thanks Mike5401

Very nice Mike!

I keep seeing people stating a distinct difference between BD's and GD's, yet others say they are the same thing.

Your opinion? The photo definatley looks green.

Well Brian,

In my opinion Green Diamonds are from Blue Diamonds. In most spawns you will get a few that turn out to be way Greener than others. When you compare a real Green Diamond with a Blue Diamond you can notice the difference right away. Some people say they have Green Diamonds but they my only look a little Green and really are Blue Diamonds. And Green Diamonds don't get as big as a Blue Diamond for some reason I don't know. Blue Diamonds may look Green when they turn a certin way or when light hits them but real Green Diamonds are always Green and you should be able to tell right away when you see a Green Diamond that is one. Blue Diamonds are more of a real light Blue with some greenish on the fins and sometimes the body. And yes Blue and Green Diamonds are the same but True Green Diamonds are really Green like my photo. I wouldn't say it is a Green Diamond if it was a Blue Diamond. But when you see this fish in person this fish a Green I mean Green.

Well sorry for the long story but I thought and I typed what I thought.

Thanks Mike
