I currently have an Olympus 2.1 Megapixel, but I want to be able to take better quality pictures of my fast moving discus (actually move a very slow). They just do not want to pose for close-ups. ;D ;D ;D

If you have money, get Canon G3. about 500 US dollars...

Why not just manually slow down the shutter speed. That's what is causing the moving fish 'blur'. 2.1 MP is sufficient for posting fish pics on a website. Good luck either way.

Patrick,

Does your camera have any type of "action" setting? Mine has a sports mode, and that is what I use for taking pics of fish... works much better.

Coolpix 4500 by nikon!

patrick... the key to reducing blur is ...

more light...it allows the camera "shutter" to open and and close faster

Flash...the ultimate in more light and action stopping.

hey patrick,

fish are doing great. eat more than the last ones i bought from you.

i have the sony cd400 (5-600 dollars, check ebay and a search of "sony cd-400), i want a cd500. that is what i used on the pics i posted to this site. i will bring it with me the next time i am over. i think you should have a setting for shutter speed on yours though, which would do what you are looking for. best thing about mine is that i burn to a cd within the camera and can take it out and drop into any computer, no cards or ports needed, only a cd-rom. well worth it. see ya.
