Don't want to kiss and tell!!!

Seriously, are we cleaning something to lay eggs on? Or is the mark a burn from heater maybe?.....if she's eating ok, try Melafix for 4-5 days - works great for superficial wounds.

If it's a fungus I would add a heavy dose of table salt (at 1TBS per gallon. I'm not sure if your pleco would appreciate that though...

If it's a tumor, there will be little you could do.

Good luck,

I believe Dieter Untergasser had something on this desease in the Discus Health book. I can look it up when I get home tonight.

Perhaps someone has it handy right now, tho...

O.
PS. I think it's bacterial

Not 100% sure. Just remember reading about it a while back. Gotta check the book.

I'll post later tonight.

Seems like I read somewhere that some discus with columnaris exhibit this symptom . . .

I had a blue diamond that looked pretty much the same.

I decided that the fish was not only puckered, but generally speaking was also stunted. I chose to cull it. It never spread to any other fish.

If you want to keep it, I'd try the 1 tablespoon salt per gallon. I'm pretty sure that will kill the pleco though. Take it out if you can or isolate the sick discus and treat it. But that will bring into the picture the fact that discus don't do well in small numbers. You decide which is easiest for you.

I've looked through the Discus Health book. Can't find this condition. There's a pic of some african cichlid with the same looking lips but it is apparently a food addaptation.

Sorry i could not help.
