Pearl Pigeon Blood? I'd like to buy a few of these.

I think this is a Pearl Pigeon Blood. Opinions welcome. I'd like to buy some of these or something very close to it for future breeding. Three to five inches would be great.

Looks very nice. You should assume that a portion of the frys will have a lot more speckling, which is limited to the nose on this fish.

The name is unimportant. If you like the fish, then you should get it.

In this case, the term pearl is usually used to apply to a fish with a pattern. Your picture looks more like a high quality Marlboro Red. So the name is not appropriate to the picture. Try to pick the fish yourself. If its mailorder, insist on pictures of the actual fish before committing to buy.

This is a pic of a Wattley Marlboro red I got from Jeff's discus (Wattley Distributor) here in Chicago. The nicer ones in the tank didn't have any pepper and were a little darker in the fins.
