Now the SS and the Red Diamond babies at 1 inch.
Not much color yet they are still small but they have great genetics behind them and should also be awesome.

Older SS from a previouse breeding between the same female and a Red diamond x RSG male, they are now just hitting 3 inches and are showing very good color and striations throughout the body with red spotting. I think this batch will be better since the male is much better than the other one.

Thanks Allan mark for your comment, but what about the fish? The hard work of keeping the tanks clean is so that the fish will reflect that work, tell me hasnt been for not.

Oscar; I think your fish look great, very healthy, happy, clean and well fed (and they pose for pics too!).
How do you keep your tanks so spotless?

Barb :)

Oodi and Barb, thank you very much for your comments. We work very hard in there every day, my brother is very helpful and i get alot of help from him and its always better to have two minds working together, we have been building some new aquariums out of plexi glass which we estimate to be 73gal each, we have made two so far and will end up making 3 more for now and later another five. After these five tanks i will be up to 20 or so aquariums and a bunch of fish. i have a 400gpd ro system and 3 100gal holding tanks and one 80 gal holding tanks that we use for water changes, my breeders get 30% daily water changes with a tds of 30-38 and my grow outs get 50% water change using water that is 80% tap and 20% ro and sub adults get 50% water change and they get 50/50 ro and tap, our water is hard and comes out of the faucet at 590 tds. Its alot of work on a daily basis.
Once again thank you very much for your kind words.

Samurai,
Tell me honestly what are they worth to you, what are your fish worth to you. If you think they are to high for the quality let me know. Im not getting angry here if it seems that way i just want to know what you think would be a fair price for them.

forgot to mention, dimensions are as follows
they are 36 inches long, 20 inches high, and 24 inches from front to back. we estimate them to be around 74 gallons or so if anyone remembers the formula they can let me know exactly.

Oscar,

I figured 17,280 cubic inches, and used the conversion from this website:

http://www.unitsconverter.net/

It came out to 74.8 gallons.

Just a SUPER!!! job Oscar.

If John Nicholson gets his way and the ACA convention is in TX in 2005 you will be the first one on Mench's & my list for a "field trip" when we come down for the show :D

By the way, do you by any chance have a SS x BD pair?

Crazy- I made those tanks myself with the help of my brother. I am going to build one more for now and take pics of the process and i will let you know more info as i go, as far as the cost and steps are concerned.

Gary- I would love it if you guys could come down here and visit, i dont have a BDxSS pair at this time, i have had no luck with BD for some reason.

Owyer- I have a friend that owns his own plastics company and i get the sides and bottom cut by him and i put it together here at home. i know what you mean about the height fortunately i have acess from both sids so thats not a problem for me at his point. I pay 50 bucks per set up for a tank, thats pretty much a steal.

Allan Mark76,
Thanks for your comments i really appreciate that, i do work pretty hard in there every day and try my best. Sales are pretty slow, i think most people on here dont want to dish out the 30 bucks for them they want those 10 and 15 buck fish, i understand. Now im growing them up and keeping all of them, when they are full blown spotted fish im going to post some pics and put them up for sale and then they are going to be 150bucks instead of 30. I know people dont trust the new kid on the block and thats something im going to have to work on in the future. High quality is the name and im working on that as i write.LOL ;D
