:) :bounce: :bounce2:got two pairs out of 12 fishes, they laid the eggs, put mesh over the pipe to check fertility of male, should I take them out and put them in their breeding tank or let them remain in large tank with other and let them spawn them again one more time ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Congratulations shamsoo!
I know just how excited you are. I'd let them practice another time or two while you are getting a nice 29 gallon bare tank set up for each pair.

update: 48 hrs, more than 50% eggs are white (may be due to hard water) I am seeing black dots in rest of the eggs, parrents are near the pipe getting darker, after 12 hrs I will have the wrig, very curios to know wether parrents could protect their fry from other discus present in tank

Hi Shamsoo,

Congratulations, you are getting there
My pair breeds in 450ms water, almost all eggs were alright in last spawn (only 3 eggs unfertilized / white).

Regards,
Ronny

update 60 hrs: eggs of one pair all white/fungused, second pair have 6 wrig, now they need soft water for bettter hatch, what I learned and understand that breeding pair need constant water parameters, whatever the tds/gh/kh/ms/ph is, varying water chemsitry disturbs the pair and they stop breeding, small changes can be done to stumilate pair eg. temp, ph , pls correct me if I am wrong
thanks for yr tips/adv
