:)This young pair is about 12 months old and has spawned apprx five times with the first 3 times them eating the eggs and the last 2 times they have eaten the fry once hatched, so i know they are good just inexperienced. This pair is for sale if anyone is intrested, i just dont like the amt of spotting they have. I also have some young SS PB that are comming into age and are spotless. This pair came from Cary and has been very good but i cant stand the dirt.

First off all thank you guys for being so possitive toards my fish I appreciate all of youre comments. :D

Mordrake... my water changes are done on a dayly basis 50% on all grow outs and pairs scraping them twice a week and filters also get a twice a week cleaning. On my fry they get 100% water changes 2 times a day and scraped and filters twice a week. My TDS on pairs is 25 to 30 ppm and my PH is 6 to 6.5 on all pairs on grow outs TDS is anywhere from 200 to 300 ppm and PH at 6.5 to 7.0. If I left something out please let me know ill try to answer youre questions as good as i can.Im still a young buck when it comes to discus keeping, this board has helped me grately and too all the moderators and all those who have helped me all ive gots to say is ,Thank you for all you guys did for me.

Hi Oscar,

where are you from? i have a black sponge filter exaclty the same as yours in some of your breeder shots there. Wishful thinking perhaps but you're not from New Zealand are you?

Can you also describe how many tanks you have and i notice some plumbing there, how is that all set up?

Thanks

Luca, I live in Texas, as far west as texas gets. I have about 23 tanks and need alot more for the fish i have now, the plumbing you see is just for water changes and also serves as a place for my breeders to lay their eggs, they seem to like the privacy of being in the back and in the corner, the plumbing was supposed to be used when doing water changes if you notice right in the middle of the pvc tube there is a coppler connectin two pieces so when i pull the upper peice off the water drains out quickly and by itself but i really still use a hose to do water changes i think its better doing it that way where i can get all the stuff in their out for sure. i tried to use the tubes but i still like to siphon the bottom of the tanks witht he hose and use a vacum attatchement to scrape while i drain.

Hi....

Can you advise what do you use to adjust the pH in your tank ?

Is it phosphoric acid or sodium bisulphate ?

OEG

David, I use muratic acid-- its the cheapest and easiest to het ahold of. I think phosphoric is stronger and also more espensive so i use muratic.
