today at about 7:00pm, one of my females started laying eggs in the community tank!!!!!! this was completely unexpected and not sure what to do. PLEASE HELP. I think the male furtilized them because he was following right behind her.

Merlo,
Welcome to Simply.
just leave them alone, their isn't much you can do for those eggs, they are pretty much doomed. just leave them in the community thank, making the pair(if they are) protect the eggs will make them a better pair. most likely if this is the first spawn the eggs won't even be fertil, it usualy takes them a few attempts to figure this spawning thang out.

They look pretty young still, so I would just let them do it a few times and learn how to do it right.
