I have bred every type of domesticated discus there is. Can anyone tell how to stimulate wilds to breed. I have some blue heckels and wild browns in with a gold diamond female. The female gold was laying eggs all alone. The wilds showed no interest at all. I have her with 4 blue heckels and four wild browns. I lowered the ph of the tank with peat. The ph is about 5.5. How low does it need to be to stimulate the wilds? I can't seem to get the ph any lower. I would appreciate any tips from someone who has had success breeding wilds.
thanks

I"ve heard that lowering the temerature could help discus spawn. I'd add some aged water that's a couple degrees cooler. I'd say lower it down to 80 or 81 degees then once they spawn higher the temperature back up to normal conditions which is usually between 84 and 86 degrees.
