home made bulk heads

For those of you making your own bulk head fittings for your tanks where do you get your rubber gaskets? I need one with a center hole that's 1 3/4" diameter. I've been to 3 hardware stores and 1 car parts store and they've all given me a strange look when I've told them what I'm looking for.

I found "O" rings for the job at a appliance repair shop.

Search on o-rings, they have a pretty well designed selector page. Everything you ever wanted to know about O-rings.
They take credit cards. Careful, you could spend hours looking at all the stuff that they have. We use them all of the time at work, we get everything the next day since they are in LA and we are in the SF bay area.

try aes, I don't remember the part# but I got a few dozen from them, fit 1" adapter perfectly.
