hi all,

i'm getting a new 75 gallon all-glass tank soon 48x18x21
heater 250 watts
filstar xp3 canister filter
emperor 400 power filter

i have a community tank of tetras, platies etc....
i do weekly water changes 25 - 35%(sometimes twice a week)
ph 7.4, kh 80ppm, gh 120 ppm
tap water ph is 7.8 to 8.5 depending on the season
if i would do daily water changes my tank ph would climb higher

this big question is ... i'm willing to do a water change and tank cleaning once a week ... would this be enough for a discus tank?

say 2-6 discus and 3 clown loaches

thank you for your replies

Not at my house. Perhaps you could get away with twice a week for adults. Juveniles would not grow much.

Juvenile discus grow best with daily water changes. Juvenile discus may not grow at all with only weekly water changes.
