Hi Debo,

No, IMO as long as you have stable ph. that is more important.
My pair used to breed for 10 over times in ph around 7.5. I lost my male yesterday with 115 babies due to heater faulty.

If you are breeding wilds, you need the ph to be lower. That's what i read, i dont have wild yet. ;D

Thanks Ronny,
Sorry about your loss :'( . I thought that the PH being stable was the most important . I have 2 pairs that have formed in my community tank. They have laid eggs several times. But the Rummy Noses are way too fast ;D But I let them practice awhile before I decided to move them. The first pair Male High Fin Blue diamond and female Turq. Both close to 6in. The second pair are Red marlboros 5in. All but the Turq are from Cary Strong.

Hi Debo,

Nice pairs. Any pictures ? :)
Yes ph being stable is more important. Ph 7 is not too high for your pairs.

I had 2 pairs inside planted tank. Cardinal tetra is too fast too. ;D

Ronny

Howdy Debo;
the pH..7.0; is good. From my understanding - it is the hardness of the water, that really helps . soft water - aka - low hardness, will allow for the development of the eggs. And ""FRY"".

Ron, sorry to here of your loose. How is the filter working out for you. I have not heard from you in a couple of days[?]. Hope everything is O.K.

Be sure to identify the femaly discus ... for future reference.

Debo - sounds like you have some "excellant discus" in your tank.

Any pic's.??

Here are some pictures. Th BD is from Cary. The Turq I picked up at a pet store. It was the blackest discus I ever saw! Brian thought I was crazy. Was sure it would be dead the next day. She is now the biggest in my tank :)
