Will discus breed with gravel ? Im raising them in a gravel tank with fake plants
He He, no need to worry man your Discus will either breed in the plants, aor the tank glass, which ever one they like best. :) I'm not sure about teh gravel, but im pretty sure they don't. :) Some other people might be able to answer your question. :D
Peace.

People tend to avoid gravel/sand since it tends to gather faeces and breed bacteria. If it's working then I wouldn't worry too much. The ideal is still a bare tank with a sponge filter, it just doesn't look that nice.

Healthy, happy, adult discus will breed in a gravel tank if the water is clean enough. The important question is can you successfully raise babies in a gravel tank. . . .

BTW - clean also means a good pH and KH. Just because you can see through the water, does not mean it is pure!
Gravel - in a still water tank does attract debre. Which will contaminent the water. feces is full of nasties.
