Hexamita question

Just curious about a few things concerning hexamita that I couldn't find doing a search.

1) Is it contagious?

2) If not, is it safe to treat a whole tank of fish if only one is sick?

3) I've heard that high heat is a good early stage treatment, how effective is this, is it better just to go ahead and treat with metro?

Just trying to stay one step ahead here.

Hex is contagious.... It is a parasite...

Treating a whole tank is probably the best thing to do... even if only one shows the white/clear stringy feces...

High heat 90+ helps the metro work most effectively. When I treat with metro I also use Epsom salt to help pass any feces... It is always good to treat in the early stages of any disease... the longer it has to take, the harder it is to eliminate..
