i am about to move house soon, and when i do i want to try and sort out the algae in my tank (55g, 6 discus) i was thinking about getting a uv steriliser, cos i want to go to white sand, instead of the drab brown i have now(which has a light dusting of green algae in areas, its certainly not prolific, but some of the plastic plants have got some hair algae on them, i dont srub them too often, and as i say its not prolific, but id like to get it more under control when i move, does anyone have any experience with a uvs on their system? the tank isnt lit for very long during the day, and isnt near a window by the way
