HI everyone,
I have a pair of melons and i have found that they are recently displaying early signs of mating behaviour. Im just running out of ideas for what i can do to try and trigger some action.
The tank temp is 30.5 ph is 7.1 , and they are in a 270 litre bb tank with some small neons that i used to age the tank many many months ago. I figured that the discus would just eat them in due course.
Recently I started doing say 15 % water changes with straight tap water , cold every 2 days. It does frisk them up and they seem happy with it.
For 1 week now i have been feeding live CBW e.g better quality fresh food to encourage spawning.
Can any experienced breeders out there suggest a schedule of sorts of what I should be doing, or what you would actually do. I feel like doing some much bigger water changing but am hesitant in that i dont want to lose what I have achieved.
thanx in advance
