but they will eat some frozen Hikiri blood worms. I also see them constantly nibbing on a large piece of driftwood. I can't see any organisms on the wood but some loose fiber. What gives?

More details will help...
Switching over from frozen bloodworm to flakes? "Will eat some bloodworms" means some get trapped underneath the driftwood? Just starting to feed flakes? How old are the fish?

Don't know if this helps, but I've been feeding frozen bloodworms for the past month and only recently switched back to tetrabits. Initially my discus weren't too crazy about the change in diet, but they slowly accepting tetrabits again.

They are about 2 to 2.5" in length. They've always had flakes as their main diet. I usually throw in a blood worm or brine shrimp meals between 3-4 flake meals.

30% WC occurs every 3 days or so. Temp is 86, PH is 6.8.

Maybe just spoiled - maybe not enough water changes. Discus lose their appetite if water conditions deteriorate
