If you acclimate your fish over time rather than dump. Wouldn't it be benificial to add a couple of drops of prime to bag when opened????
And then proceed with water additions.
New fish coming soon!
Any thoughts, Dave

Hi Dave:
Are your new discus going to be in the bags overnight? IF yes, then I would try to make my tank water conditions close to the conditions they came from - about the same or a bit higher pH, temp 84 and then I would dump them.
If the fish are only going to be bagged a couple of hours then yes, add prime and drip away . . .

I always add prime as soon as I open the bags just in case. You dont really know whats happening in the little bags (ammonia) unless you measure it! I just add the prime and then I can acclimate at a decent pace! ;)
