Number of ACA attendents [Archive]

Hi all,
I have been working with The ACA on this meeting in Denver and Mark Whitney has asked me to give him some kind of numbers for the Discus hobbyist that are planning on attending. If You are going to attend the ACA this July 22-25...

Could you please post here, so I can pass along some numbers to the ACA . I realize the numbers won't include everyone going from the discus Hobby, but it should help them out in their estimates.

They were also interested in if you will be showing fish... and if so roughly how many.

Never had much interest in past ACA's....But this one will be to much to pass up! There's just too many good people gonna be at this one....Simply people are THE BEST!!

Hi Folks
New to the board but seeing as I live in Colorado I will be there. ;D
I have been out of the hobby for about 5 years and went to reef tanks I just could not take the bare bottom ugly tanks anymore and all those water changes! ;)but I do Miss them and maybe its time to set up an ugly ol bare bottom tank again ;) but some of you I remember from other old Discus boards like The late Jim Q's board
And I see Cary from GLD is hit it big:) he was a new comer when I bailed from the hobby

Oh well, at least Canaussie will be there (Pril) so may have settle for just half an aussie.

I'm there Al. You know we have been working on what we wanted to do since the last ACA in July. I have pushed you and pushed you to this and do it big. I say its time to go all out. Let's make it an event no one will forget. I have asked Orient to fly in from Malaysia and baring any unforeseen problems he will be there. Its time to get the US up to speed on the discus hobby. As more and more new people are joining the hobby everyday we need to support them better. I believe there is no better way of doing this than to just take out all the mysteries at the ACA. Let’s put the US on the discus map so to speak!!!

I and my girlfriend are both planning to go. I just have a few questions. What is it going to cost to get in to the Mania? Do we have to regester with the ACA? ??? :) Are there going to be enough spots for everybody in the seminars and shows?

Registration is $35 for ACA members and $60 for non-members.

I assume that allows entry on all days and to listen to the speakers as well...

I dont know if there is a daily charge option...

as for getting in to hear the speakers, be early to prevent disappointment

If I don't break a leg, I'll walk 5 minutes from my house to the ACA. At this point, we (Colorado Discus) will not be able to show any our discus. :'( Since we are planning to move the discus operation to another location, the month of July is going to be a busy time.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone on this board. ;D
