View Full Version : WHAT KIND OF FISH WOULD LAY THESE EGGS?

MY DAUGHTER HAS A 10G WITH 7 CORY'S A RAINBOW SHARK AND A BIG FAT GOLD FISH AND ONE BUSHY NOSE. NOW WHAT WOULD LAY EGGS LIKE THIS ON THE GLASS????

well..big eggs.........cories lay on the glass but at the bottom i believe....id say the bushynose? certainly not the shark....or the goldfish. so id say the bushynose. now you better go find her a nice boy bushynose. they have longer whiskers i believe.

I agree with Cary, they are not bushynose(probably). They lay in a cluster ball and inside a cave or hollow log. ANd the eggs are bright orange. Otherwise I have no clue. My guess would be the cory's since there are seven of 'em and more chance of a male being around. If they're fertile, there's your answer! Corys!

ok cool didnt know theyd lay that high up. well let us know if you get little itty baby cories!!
ive had panda cories hatch and a few survive in a community tank. but the pandas lay in mops or java fern so i was told. and a few each day.

Thank you all, football is over and my baby is a proud egg owner. Nine years old and already fish eggs and she is the only one that helps the daddy in the basement. This is one of the hopefull for future fry. ;) We will see you DENVER.

Ya I would Say thats a good choice!This way they could be removed. But for most part if not Had! They seem to spawn anywere when old and ripe :P

Nice pics both of u. And i agree 100 percent with cary. Should hatch in 3 days and should be free swimming in 5 feed them BBS or cyclops and they should be fine.
