Hey Jules... Nice shot there.

I would say perhaps it is still too young to show it's true beauty. I bet it's a juvie, right? Still it's a lovely Marlboro Red. Nice job, Jules! :D

I would have guess a Red Discus, but wot would i know. ;D So I'm going with the group and say a Red Marlboro ;) (too much red for a juvie unless its color fed for it to be anything else). Also the slight peppering near its nose and black fins give it away.

I'm curious to know what other sign r u guys using to judge this fish. It could have been a color fed Red Melon ;D

Here is another shot....

I didn't think he was stunted...I read somewhere if the eye fits 3x before the beginning of the fin they are not stunted. Is that correct?

Nice coloured fish but the eye still looks larger than normal. Not to a great extent but still larger than normal. I would call it a "Pygmy Banana Discus" ha! ha!

When checking out discus to see if they are stunted, the measurement most people use is.... how far the eye is from the forehead.....hard to tell in those pics but I would say..yes it looks a little stunted because of the size of the eye as it looks to large in size compared to the rest of the fish

He is about a 3" Marlboro Red...hopefully there is still time to grow him out. :'( I just got him.

It is a nice looking fish. Keep up on the wcs and it will turn out pretty. ;)

Agree with others, just do wcs and feed him. He will turn out really nice.

I once have discus like that, even worse ;D. He is my biggest discus now. 7" and now with babies. :) First spawn, directly successful :)

I like your fish, nice :)
