Hi All,

I visited David Webber this week at his new home. As all my visits with David this one was very educational. We bbq'ed some burgers, had a few beers and talked fish all day. I had a great time! I picked up these two guys on my out. Let me know what you think.

This pic does not do him justice. Very unusual color and markings on this fish. About 4.5" right now. Settling in nicely, was eating tetra bits on the second day.

This guy is huge, about 8'' A bit beat up, but settling in nicely. Getting more and more color every day.

Very nice color on the first one. The second one seems like the reds are starting to show. Please keep us updated.

Awesome job Mr. Webber......

Thanks guys!.

Henry, yes there's more red coming out, the striations are getting brighter as well. I'll post some pics in a few weeks.

I'm no expert on wilds by any means but does the fish in your second pic have some heckel in him?

Ryan,

I don't think so. He's been in my tank for 3 weeks now. I don't see the stress bars most of the time. When they are all dark and visible all of them are the same width. In Heckel the fifth bar is wider than the rest.
He's doing great though. I'll post updated pics soon.

Here's another pic. This guy has very unusual coloration for a wild fish. He's 4" i'm assuming the metallic color will fill-in as he grows.
