hi there, need help asap.my discus are down with white spots all over the body and fin.how do i deal with this? i tried changing water and heat up with salt and metlyn blue solution but no effect.

When were the first signs of this what is the temp.any new fish or items added to tank.

Hi,
Usually temp of 94F (10 days) and salt up to 1 tblsp/one gallon will kill most parasites and fungus.

If this is larger sores, can be bacterial and then furan 2 is usually good (double strength on first dose)

hi Terry,
no new fish included.temp of water 79f,but my other tank not affected,only this particular tank.is it parasite or juz water temp?

Hi,
79 F is too cool for discus. Usually at least 82 or 83 F is best, also not as susceptible to parasites at the warmer temp.

G'day Kohpee.
I would do as Ardan says he has helped me in the past and much more experienced then me so up the temp and don't go pieling loads of med in see what the high temp those first.Keep us up to date.
