View Full Version : Discus from discusfarm.us
Finally got the photographs of the fish Jeff gave me hosted, picture quality is horrible but my camera's a dinosaur, the blue diamond and red turk are from him, I have no idea what the other is, but it's more of a violet/silver color then the blue that it shows in the photograph.

Any idea when the discus should start taking food? They're already eating frozen brine shrimp but won't take color bits yet...should I starve em' for a few days?
Don't starve them. They will come around. They have never seen tetra bits before.

Good Job Guy's ;)
However Mr Moon You might want to find a better food higher in Protein's
For Your smaller Discus. IMO Feeding Adult Brine shrimp to small Discus is like feeding candy to a baby :o

Cary Gld!
P.S Also Please Know posts about how brine cleans out the Digestion track! cuz Dry foods still work better then adult brine.

I picked up 3 BD and 3 RSG from Jeff 2 weeks ago. :D Unfortunately I do not have a digital camera (yet) so I cannot post a picture. They were slow to eat the first two days then started eating frozen bloodworms, live blackworms (their favorite) and ONF1 flakes. They range from 3+ to 5+ inches and are beautiful. My plan is to put them into my 125 planted tank when they are grown. I am thrilled with the discus.

Well, I hate to rub it in, but the ones I got are now eating: Tetra bits, ONF-1 and 2, Tetra Crisps and New Life Spectrum discus food. I feed Dry flakes and pellets in the AM, BW's at noon and CBW's at night after Water Changes. They Ate 4 hours after they came out of the bag (CBW's) and have been biting my hands before I can drop the food in since. It might be the Hand Carry shipping but I've never seen discus get used to a tank so quick.
Good Job Jeff and Watch for another Paypal!
