Scissors??

Can i use regular scissors to cut my live plants? I am afraid that the metal might contaminate the water. Give me other suggestions for pruning my plants without taking them out of the water.

scissors are fine and wont hurt the fish .I think you are more likely to contaminate the tank with your hands or arms .my thoughts any way.use stainless steel .

scissors are fine. they won't be in the water anywhere near long enough to contaminate the water. if you left them there over night that'd be a different story
